God’s Love Is Truth And Not Evil
I Corinthians 13:5-6 John 4:23-24
The Bible says that love thinks no evil, rejoices not in iniquity but rejoices in the truth. It also says that the hour is coming and now is when the true worshipers of God shall worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth. God our Father is the God of truth. The mention of His Supreme Deity implies truth, honesty and equity. Therefore the love that He expresses must be the truth. God is all knowing, therefore there is nothing that He does not know. Therefore whatever knowledge that He reveals is revealed with this backdrop and intent, that He knows everything about whatever is being revealed. This makes whatever that is being revealed ultimately the truth. Hence the love that He reveals to us is ultimately the truth and is pure and free from evil.
We must be able to count on what He has revealed to us to benefit us with a prevailing security that what He said will uphold us always and forever, without wavering. You must also know that God’s love is ultimately pure and full of equity, not sin, a love that will hold strong throughout eternity.
After we have received this ultimately true and pure kind of love from God we are then able to love and expect to be loved in the same manner. No longer is it acceptable to receive lies as love or to participate in iniquity as love because now we are experiencing God’s love and we will accept nothing less. This does not mean that we discard people in our lives who lie to us or try to get us to do evil. It simply means that we will no longer accept these attempts as manifestations of love.
